In an attempt to add to the value of being an AmCham member, the Networking and Promotion event brought together a number of members that were willing to offer discounts and special deals to the AmCham network.  With the expansion of our member base, we considered that everyone could benefit from one another in various ways. Networking

AmCham Kosovo helps its members enhance their visibility and connect with potential clients, suppliers, and business partners.

As an AmCham member, you will be invited to events that will provide you with opportunities to meet government, business and community leaders and officials – both local and international – who are involved with shaping Kosovo’s economic future.

Another way in which your company can connect with potential customers, suppliers, and partners is through the AmCham’s committees and working groups. AmCham committees and working groups operate as formal extensions of the Chamber, with the aim of addressing critical issues that affect operations within a particular sector or industry.

The Chamber’s staff is also authorized to assist individual businesses by facilitating contacts with U.S. companies, commercial organizations, and agencies that operate in the United States or in other countries in the region. After initial contact has been made, our staff can refer you to other Chamber Members who may be able to help you fulfill your other needs.

 Advocacy

As an influential, broad-based association of businesses, AmCham Kosovo is recognized as an effective private-sector advocacy group. The Chamber aims to create and sustain a favorable business environment in Kosovo, serving as a catalyst for reform among public and private sector actors both in Kosovo and in the United States.

How does advocacy through the AmCham work? For example: Your company’s active participation in the Legislation, Policy, and Taxation Committee might result in the formulation of recommendations to the Chamber’s Executive Committee that can then be communicated to the appropriate government ministries and/or agencies in Kosovo.

 Educational Opportunities

AmCham Kosovo organizes seminars, workshops, and training sessions to support your existing staff development and employee training programs. Your company is also encouraged to attend seminars and workshops offered by member firms that specialize in management training, human resource development, and business consulting.

In the near future, members will be invited to borrow business books from AmCham’s Best-Sellers Library that will include over 100 titles selected from “best-sellers lists” recently published by Fortune, Forbes, and BusinessWeek magazines.

Business Services

Chamber members will soon be offered access to a “Members Only” section of the AmCham Kosovo web site.  This special area of AmChamKSV.org will include a variety of web-based tools and services designed to help you compete both in Kosovo and abroad; features currently under development include a searchable Business-to-Business (B2B) Directory and a Member-to-Member Discount Program.

Your company will also receive a monthly electronic newsletter, AmCham Outlook, which will contain the latest and most current information about legislation and regulations affecting businesses in Kosovo; reports on AmCham events; up-to-date information regarding trade and/or investment conferences in the United States, Europe and across the region; and other topics and issues relevant to your business.

Companies interested in establishing joint ventures or other mutually beneficial relationships with American manufacturers and other firms can take advantage of the Chamber’s Business Liaison Services.  Finally, your company can benefit from a variety of specially-priced services being offered by AmCham partners both in Kosovo and through the regional AmCham network, across the Balkans.
