AmCham Kosovo currently has two operating committees, which meet on a weekly basis (depending on the necessity). For more information about the committees, your involvement in them, or establishment of new committees, please feel free to contact us. We are always open for suggestions! Competitiveness CommitteeThe Competitiveness Committee (CC) will address topics of general interest in field of tax, legislation and policies. The mission of CC is to identify and implement the changes needed in the Kosovo tax legislation to help the Kosovo government and the AmCham members. CC will achieve this mission through: ■ Provision of feedback on the technical problems of interpretation and implementation in order to improve the practice including follow-up; ■ Analysis and taking of actions that will bring both business community and government in position of dialogue for the matters that are in interest and concern for businesses and for government in general; ■ Initiation of sustained dialogue between businesses, tax and legislative authorities for promoting good environment for foreign direct investments in Kosovo; and ■ Awareness raising amongst government officials in Kosovo about the issues that are important to business.
Regional and International Networking CommitteeThe Committee for Regional and International Networking will enhance AmCham Kosovo's regional and international networking and cooperation. As an Acredited Member of US Chamber of Commerce, AmCham Kosovo will initiate and maintain contacts with other AmChams in the region and in the world, inform other AmChams of our activities, achievements and invite other them to our activities, conferences etc. The Committee for Regional and International Networking will look for business and investments opportunities of interest for AmCham Kosovo members, establish contacts with international businesses and local businesses and keep informed both of opportunities of cooperation and invesments.
