Prishtina, January 19, 2023 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo has concluded the Annual Meeting of the General Assembly with an amazing turnout of 128 delegates from member companies, who elected seven new untitled board members for a two-year mandate.
This meeting was chaired by the President of the Board of Governors Afrore Rudi who spoke about AmCham’s achievements during 2022, the challenges and the difficult times the business community was faced with and informed the members on all the changes implemented and the continuous work AmCham does in an effort to improve the field of doing business in Kosovo and facilitate the expansion of local companies to foreign countries.
Executive Director Arian Zeka presented the activity and financial reports for 2022, as well as the annual program and financial funding for 2023. He also thanked the founding members of AmCham and the member companies that have remained members of the Chamber in almost 19 years of existence. He spoke about the active advocacy agenda led by AmCham and reiterated that the organization would be a louder voice speaking on behalf of businesses.
During this meeting, delegates of the Assembly approved the annual program and the budget for the new year, while also electing the new untitled members of the Board of Governors for a two-year term, in place of the new provisions of the statute that have entered into force this year. New Board members include Mabetex Group represented by Valon Lluka, Kutia Inc. represented by Arianit Fazliu, Cisco represented by Taulant Stublla, Devolli Corporation represented by Dardan Shala, Fresh Brothers represented by Dren Deva, Tive represented Astrit Leti and KEP Trust represented by Shpend Nura.
