AmCham Kosovo and MLSW to Construct Four Houses for Families in Need

Prishtina, October 28, 2016– The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, in cooperation with Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MLSW) have finalized the project for construction of houses for four families of Kosovo municipalities.

This project is an initiative of AmCham Kosovo, which has managed to collect 30,000 Euro from member companies, domestic and international institutions, through organizations of events, whereas Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare joined such a project, contributing with the same amount.

Minister of MSLW Arban Abrashi commended the initiative of AmCham Kosovo, emphasizing that activities of this kind should continue also in the future, with the purpose of aiding and supporting families in need.

AmCham Executive Director Arian Zeka praised the cooperation with ministry and respective municipalities that helped proceed further this project, which aims to provide welfare for families in need.

Selected families are from Peja, Skenderaj, Lipjan and Mitrovica, and the construction of houses will begin as soon as the construction company is selected.
