AmCham Kosovo commemorated its twentieth anniversary

Prishtina, March 25, 2024 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo celebrated its 20th anniversary with a reception attended by notable guests and dignitaries, including the founding members. His Excellency Jeffrey Hovenier, U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, marked the occasion with remarks highlighting the Chamber’s significant achievements and contributions to Kosovo’s economic development.

Reflecting on the Chamber’s journey since its establishment in 2004, Ambassador Hovenier underscored its remarkable growth, from 21 founding members to a community of 260 members today. He praised the Chamber’s resilience and adaptability, particularly during challenging times such as the recent pandemic, where AmCham Kosovo demonstrated its commitment by swiftly transitioning to virtual platforms and hosting over 100 online events.

Addressing Kosovo’s economic landscape, Ambassador Hovenier emphasized the potential for trade and investment while acknowledging existing challenges. He commended AmCham for its advocacy efforts in engaging with the government to address these concerns, reaffirming the United States’ unwavering support for Kosovo’s economic growth and prosperity.
