AmCham Kosovo hosts a U.S. Government and Business Delegation

Prishtina, March 3, 2023 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo hosted a Partnership Opportunity Delegation led by U.S. Delegation led by the U.S. Department of State Special Representative for Global Partnerships Dorothy McAuliffe.

The delegation was comprised of representatives of U.S. Department of State officials, U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), U.S. Export-Import Bank, American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA), as well as representatives of major U.S. companies operating in the energy sector, General Electric, Honeywell, Emerson Electric, Siemens Energy, Advent Technologies, and Wethington International.

In her opening remarks, Dorothy McAuliffe stated that the partnership between Kosovo and the USA is of the highest importance, in terms of investments and economic development as well as recent political matters.

Executive Director Arian Zeka and President of the Board of Governors Afrore Rudi welcomed the representatives of the delegation and presented briefly Kosovo’s investment attraction opportunities and advantages.

U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier also welcomed the Partnership Opportunity Delegations. According to a U.S. Embassy announcement, the visit is part of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Partnerships initiative that aims to facilitate partnership activities on renewable energy, investments, and ecosystem development between the public and private sectors of the U.S. and Kosovo.
