Prishtina, August 6, 2019 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo organized a meeting with its Tax Committee whereby representatives of member companies discussed certain provisions of the Law No.06/L-105 on Corporate Income Tax as well as the changes made regarding its approval.
Chairperson of AmCham Tax Committee, Gresë Rexhepi, informed the participants about the new provisions and also the changes made in this law, mentioning issues that affect, amongst others, businesses in the banking sector, insurance companies, etc. She urged business representatives to provide their comments about certain provisions in order for the relevant institutions to address them and to facilitate the law implementation.
The meeting further focused on various interpretations of provisions of this law, whereby Rexhepi added that further clarification from relevant institutions is needed for specific provisions in order not to create room for misuse.
During the meeting, representatives from AmCham member companies elaborated in detail certain paragraphs and limitations from the Law on Corporate Income Tax which affect business operations in the country.
