AmCham welcomes the approval of the Draft Law on Electronic Identification and Trusted Services in Electronic Transactions

Prishtina, September 28, 2020 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo welcomes today’s approval of the Draft Law on Electronic Identification and Trusted Services in Electronic Transactions by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

AmCham’s Digital Economy Committee has argued over the years on the need to develop an appropriate legal framework, which in addition to contributing to the development of the digital economy, would also reduce the administrative burden for electronic transactions between parties.

This Draft Law will also increase the efficiency of business processes by significantly reducing costs, while along with increasing security in electronic transactions it will provide businesses with a larger customer base.

Finally, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo expresses its confidence that the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo will soon approve the Draft Law on Electronic Identification and Trusted Services in Electronic Transactions.
