Prishtina, January 25, 2019 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo reiterates its position that free trade is an important factor in enabling economic growth and any distortion in the free movement of goods may hinder Kosovo’s economic growth and investment attraction prospects.
Pursuant to its mission of supporting development of mutually economic relations between the United States of America and Kosovo, AmCham believes that obstacles to regional trade hinder the operations of American businesses in the region, and make Kosovo less attractive for American and other foreign investors.
American investors seek to invest in countries which provide unhindered access to larger markets and who constantly promote deregulation of markets and free movement of goods and capital.
Therefore, AmCham considers that Kosovo institutions are ought to meet these expectations in order to accelerate its economic development and improve the welfare of its people.
