Prishtina, December 5, 2017 – As business world is rapidly changing, emotions are becoming a much more important aspect of working relationships. Emotional Intelligence especially, has been a distinguishing factor in hiring or promoting employees. AmCham organized a workshop on for its member companies, on this topic delivered Arjeta Spahiu from our member company Advoco Solutions LLC, and a member of the Board of Governors, who is a certified International Coach Federation trainee.
Having emotional intelligence increases your chances of being highly accepted on teams and prone to reach for leadership positions, and not only that but having those kinds of people in the company can also set you apart from the competition, said Spahiu.
In addition, she emphasized how companies generally have shifted their focus from intelligence quotient to emotional intelligence, especially for positions, that require a lot of human interaction. Emotional intelligence is not only related to job positions, it is about the interactions within the workplace environment and it is about being able to read and manage the emotions of others, implied Spahiu.
During the workshop, Spahiu explained the key indicators that help distinguish highly emotionally intelligent employees or candidates, and how can these factors be improved.
