Prishtina, September 2019 – American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo started implementing Enhancing Women’s Employment (EWE) project which is supported by U.S Embassy in Prishtina. The six-month project aims to improve women’s access to economic opportunities by combining gender equality promotion with enterprise development through training and in-job experience.
Through this project, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo will equip 30 post-graduate women students with the skills necessary for career development in the private sector by providing 3-month training modules on developing soft and management skills and 3 month in-job experience to AmCham member companies. By the end of the project, the candidates will have the required skills to actively participate in the labor market, and sufficient working experience to foster their career development in the private sector.
AmCham is cognizant of the fact that women’s participation in Kosovo remains very low, thus remains committed to take concrete action-steps to tackle this phenomenon.
