Prishtine, November 22, 2019 – Following the activities organized as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, AmCham organized a round-table discussion with guest speakers Aferdita Mekuli from DAI Global and Afrore Rudi from Deloitte Kosovo who shared their stories with 30 women participants of AmCham’s Enhancing Women’s Employment Program.
Aferdita Mekuli, Deputy Director of DAI Global after sharing her journey and discussing among the many challenges she faced, advised the participants that in order to be successful, besides proper education they should immediately get involved in practical work because according to her, to become professional requires constant training and commitment. Moreover, Afrore Rudi, Director in the Tax & Legal Department at Deloitte Kosova, stated that education is the first aspect that influences the opening of career opportunities and afterwards everything depends on how dedicated you are. She added that there are always different challenges in the path of developing a career but we must see these challenges as an impetus to move forward.
Both speakers stated that by setting goals, and by having the will and the right knowledge, feminism barriers cannot stand in the way of career development.
