Kosovo Customs presents the AEO program to the members of AmCham

Prishtina, April 4, 2024 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, in cooperation with the Kosovo Customs, organized a highly informative workshop on the program of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO). Ibrahim Xhaka, Head of the Directorate of Excise and Procedures in Kosovo Customs as well as Customs Coordinator for AEO, led this workshop that was an important step in empowering businesses by providing them with essential insight into the benefits and opportunities associated with AEO status.

Ibrahim Xhaka provided attendees with an in-depth understanding of the exclusive advantages of becoming an Authorized Economic Operator. Through a comprehensive presentation, Xhaka explained the different types of AEOs, including customs simplifications (AEO-D), safety and security standards (AEO-S), and customs simplifications combined with safety and security standards (AEO-F). One of Ibrahim Xhaka’s highlights from the workshop was the detailed discussion of the criteria for obtaining AEO status and practical guidelines for the application process. Xhaka guided the participants through the step-by-step process, emphasizing the importance of complying with the necessary documentation requirements set by Kosovo Customs.
