Prishtina, November 3, 2017 – Ministry of Finance remains committed to close cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, in order to further advance the legislation and policies that would impact the facilitation of doing business.
This was stated during a meeting of the Minister of Finance, Bedri Hamza, with the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, Arian Zeka. Minister Hamza thanked the American Chamber for its constructive contribution in terms of advancing the legislation and offered the readiness of the ministry he leads to address the recommendations of this organization in the future.
Hamza also talked about the plans of the Ministry of Finance to raise revenue performance by fighting the informal economy in order to eliminate unfair competition for businesses that are regular taxpayers, as well as plans for legislative changes during 2018.
From his part, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, Arian Zeka, thanked the Ministry of Finance for the continuation of fiscal reforms through the approval of the decision to release the customs duties of raw materials, which has been a long-standing requirement of the Committee of Manufacturers of the American Chamber.
