Prishtine, November 19, 2019 – As part of the activities for the Global Entrepreneurship Week, AmCham in partnership with the Regional Development Agency – Centre, organized the event “Becoming Entrepreneur: Self-Employment Perspectives” in Shtime, with the aim of raising entrepreneurial awareness among the youth of this municipality. Participants discussed about the role of entrepreneurship in social welfare and economic growth, among other things.
The Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, Arian Zeka, during this roundtable stated that it is highly important for the youth to consider entrepreneurship and the private sector as means for professional and career development, as well as a way of contributing to the society. Meanwhile, the successful entrepreneur Gojart Kelmendi, from Eurokosova – Flutra, talked about the steps he has taken towards the establishment of his enterprise, as well as the difficulties that he has gone through and continues to go through as a manufacturer. He added, however, that today it is much easier to start an entreprise, especially in the sector of digital economy, where opportunities are endless.
